Hello OLP!

The OLP is speeding along!  Our membership has grown to almost 500 members from the U.S., Europe, Australia, Mexico, the UK and the Far East. Here's just a bit of what's going on:
  • The International Committee headed by Christopher Purdon of Gowlings in Toronto is forming now and we encourage you to join!
  •      Work has begun on the new Trial Technician certification exam!  We invite members to join that committee and be part of a ground-breaking initiative in the legal field.
  •      New, never-before offered online, onDemand, interactive eDiscovery courses begin in July.  These interesting and vital courses are offered to experienced attorneys, litigation support professionals and paralegals who want to make a difference in their careers.  See below for more info
  •      Ourwebinar series continues to be a big hit with both members and non-members.  We will present over 100 webinars for The OLP this year. Members get the webinars free.
  •       A new book, The OLP's Thought Leaders' Guide to e-Discovery will be published in June.  If you are a member, sign-up for your free e-book. 
  • FIRST OLP Meeting:  June 24 before LegalTech 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. Join us for our first OLP meeting!  To RSVP, please send e-mail to info@theolp.org.
  •       The First Litigation Support Compensation & Utilization Survey!  We have partnered with CareerNumbers to provide members with the first all-inclusive, indepth, professional litigation salary survey.  To sign up to participate, please send an e-mail to info@theolp.org.  Just put Litigation Support Salary Survey in the re line.  You will receive and executive summary free upon completion of survey.       We are about to launch a series of podcasts.  If you would like to take part, let us know:  chere.estrin@theolp.org.
  •       And finally, we are well-along on the development of the first e-Discovery certification exam, scheduled to roll-out on September 15th.  Our certification exam committee is hard at work with our instructional designers.  We have a schedule posted on our website that is constantly updated.  
  •       The OLP is the first organization to offer certification in e-Discovery.  Sign-up to be part of the pilot program to review the exam.  Just send an e-mail to chere.estrin@theolp.org and put "Pilot Program" in the re line.  Be sure to include contact info.
