Peter Thermos has over 17+ years of experience in consulting and research in several areas of Information Security and Assurance and has held senior technical and management positions with organizations in research and consulting. In his current position as President and CTO of Palindrome Technologies he spearheads the technological direction and vision of the company.
He has been working as a trusted advisor for customers in various industry sectors (e.g., Telecommunication, Energy, Financial, Government), in architecture definition and review, information security strategy development, information security policies, procedures, and procedures development, security audits and assessments, threat and risk management, vulnerability management and security testing management, and securing emerging technologies including Internet Multimedia Applications (i.e., VoIP, Unified Communications), carrier-grade networks (i.e., LTE/IMS/FMC), and user equipment (e.g., 4G handsets, STB’s).
Peter is the primary author of the book “Securing VoIP Networks” by Addison-Wesley and has been a
speaker at various conferences (i.e. IEEE, ICIW, VoN, SANS, Blackhat, MIS InfoSec, ISSE) and has published
articles in trade magazines such as Information Security, ZDNET, Forbes, TechTarget, Wired and industry
journals such as IEEE, ACM and IEC. Peter holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Columbia
University, NY, and he holds the following certifications; Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT),
Federal IT Security Professional (FITSP), and US Government Clearance. He is a member of IETF, IEEE, ACM
